On Christmas Day we went to Justin's mom and step-dad's house for some turkey and dressing and presents time. The kiddios made out with way too much toys. It was warm enough to be able to go outside and play football while the kiddios rode their new bikes and scooters. A big thanks to Nana D. and Papaw, Uncle Brian and Aunt Dione for all the goodies the kids received.

Christmas Came Early

It has always been a tradition to open up Christmas presents on Christmas Eve at my Aunt's house, but this year we did things a little different. We had the boys this weekend and we weren't going to be able to have them for Christmas Eve so we decided to have Christmas a little bit early and opened our presents this morning. It was such a blast. Having all the kids getting so excited and watching their facial expressios was so fullfilling to know that it is worth it at the end to go through all the headache of going to the store, waiting in all those lines to buy the presents, come home to wrap the presents, and then having the kids say thousand of time,"Can we open our presents today?" because they can't tell time when Christmas is. It was all over in about 5 minutes which took 2 weeks to get ready. Then after the opening of the presnts we had a huge breakfast. We decided to do breakfast instead of a lunch or dinner since on Thanksgiving we did a HUGE Thanksgiving dinner. We will still continue to have the tradition Christmas Eve dinner at Aunt Shirley's house and then Christmas Day we wil go to Justin's Mom and step-dad's house. I have to admit it was a wonderful day here at the Stevens house, a mess, but wonderful.

The Power of Prayer

I really believe in the power of prayer and I am asking during this slow time of the year, that Justin's business picks up. Please say a prayer for him...that he doesn't get frustrated or lose hope in Boardwalk Construction. It was a year ago this month that he decided to open up his own construction business. It has always been a dream of his so, with the support of his family, he quit his job and FINALLY formed his own business. I pray for him and that the business will continue to grow. If you or if you know anyone that needs anything done around the house or even a business please give him a call. Please say a prayer for me so I won't get discourage, especially with Christmas around the corner.
