On Christmas Day we went to Justin's mom and step-dad's house for some turkey and dressing and presents time. The kiddios made out with way too much toys. It was warm enough to be able to go outside and play football while the kiddios rode their new bikes and scooters. A big thanks to Nana D. and Papaw, Uncle Brian and Aunt Dione for all the goodies the kids received.

Presents #2

On Christmas Eve we went to Aunt Shirley's house for some tortilla soup and presents. The boys wasn't able to be with us but the kiddios made out with a bunch of presents. We all had a great time. Christmas Came Early

It has always been a tradition to open up Christmas presents on Christmas Eve at my Aunt's house, but this year we did things a little different. We had the boys this weekend and we weren't going to be able to have them for Christmas Eve so we decided to have Christmas a little bit early and opened our presents this morning. It was such a blast. Having all the kids getting so excited and watching their facial expressios was so fullfilling to know that it is worth it at the end to go through all the headache of going to the store, waiting in all those lines to buy the presents, come home to wrap the presents, and then having the kids say thousand of time,"Can we open our presents today?" because they can't tell time when Christmas is. It was all over in about 5 minutes which took 2 weeks to get ready. Then after the opening of the presnts we had a huge breakfast. We decided to do breakfast instead of a lunch or dinner since on Thanksgiving we did a HUGE Thanksgiving dinner. We will still continue to have the tradition Christmas Eve dinner at Aunt Shirley's house and then Christmas Day we wil go to Justin's Mom and step-dad's house. I have to admit it was a wonderful day here at the Stevens house, a mess, but wonderful.

The Power of Prayer

I really believe in the power of prayer and I am asking during this slow time of the year, that Justin's business picks up. Please say a prayer for him...that he doesn't get frustrated or lose hope in Boardwalk Construction. It was a year ago this month that he decided to open up his own construction business. It has always been a dream of his so, with the support of his family, he quit his job and FINALLY formed his own business. I pray for him and that the business will continue to grow. If you or if you know anyone that needs anything done around the house or even a business please give him a call. Please say a prayer for me so I won't get discourage, especially with Christmas around the corner.

Gettin Ready For Christmas

Hannah kept asking me as I was putting up the Christmas tree when was Santa coming. I told her in 3 more weeks, but of course she couldn't understand how long that is going to be. So, this morning as she came down the stairs, she started to get upset and I asked her what was the matter. She told me, "Momma there is no presents under the tree." "Why didn't Santa come to our house". So, Justin and I had to explain to her exactly what takes place around Christmas time. After that she was okay. She thought Santa had forgotten her.

Happy Thanksgiving and Birthday

As Thanksgiving has past, I have alot to be thankful for. 8 years ago I gave birth to a healthy 8pds. 7 oz. baby girl, Maurissa Nicole. It just so happened this year her birthday fell on Thanksgiving Day. With family and friends over yesterday, we had such a great time pigging out on turkey, ham, dressing, and all that other good stuff. I am blessed to have such a wonderful loving husband who has been such a great dad to the girls and boys. This was a wonderful Thanksgiving....A big THANKS to Crystal for watching the girls as Justin and I got up at 3am to fight the madness crowd at Wal-mart so we could get those great deals they had.

Alex's B-Day Party

Alex had a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese today and we all had a great time. He cried when he saw Chucky. Poor thing, he was so scared that he was shaken to death. After he had calmed down, we had cake, presents and some fun time. Happy 2 year old Birthday, Alex.

Maurissa's B-Day Party

Maurissa's birthday falls on Thanksgiving Day this year, so last night we had her a birthday party at Chick-fil-A and then afterwards we went to see High School Musical 3. She was allowed to envite 5 girls, but instead she envited 4 girls and a boy Gavin. Her and Gavin have been friends since kindergarten...I actually think they have a little of a crush on each other. We had a blast until we had to wait in the freezing line outside to get our movie tickets. It was alot of fun to hear the girls talk about which boys they thought was cute in their class on they way home as I was meeting their parents. They are only 7 & 8 years old...but sure are growing up fast. I wish Maurissa a Happy Early Birthday and hoped she enjoyed her party last night. She has been asking for a pink Nintendo DS and told her they were to expensive. Boy, was she surprised when she opened her present from me and her Dad. The very first thing she wanted to do when we got home from the party was to play her DS. No telling what time she went to bed last night.

Boxing!!!

It is funny watching Josh and Maurissa playing the Wii. Look how involved they get into the game. We got the Wii for the kids as a christmas gift, but someone couldn't wait till then...(that someone is Justin)...so needless to say they got it as an early christmas present.

Happy Birthday Tia Crystal

Hannah and Maurissa wanted to wish Tia Crystal a very BIG Happy Birthday. As I came home today from work, Alex had me a present. He gave me some bath gel, shaving cream, a new razor....things for the bath. Then my sweet husband made me birthday coupons for 3 passes to not do the dishes, since he knows how much I hate to do them, a coupon for a $50 shopping spree, and 2 passes to shop on ebay, since I love to shop...who doesn't, and finally a body massage. Each kid made me a birthday card, the babies just scribbled since they can't write yet. It was so sweet of them. They made it a very special day.

Dorothy Costume

Well it is official. Hannah is going to be Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz for Halloween. Maurissa decided she wanted to be Dorothy first. We got her costume and a couple of days later we went to get Hannah's costume. Looking through all of them Hannah had selected Tinker Bell but threw the biggest fit when she saw the Dorothy costume and I had told her NO because Maurissa was already Dorothy. She threw a major temper in the store, so needless to say, both girls are going to be Dorothy for Halloween. Stay tune to see pictures.

2 Years WHOO!!!

Justin and I celebrated our two year anniversary this past Monday and he surprised me with beautiful roses at work. Then when I got home he surprised me with a Coach purse and a matching wallet with a checkbook cover. He is such a wonderful husband. Happy Anniversary and many more to come.

Monday, September 15, 2008

This past Friday, we headed out to the Cotton Festival in Crandall. The kids had a blast riding all the rides and playing games. As soon as we got home, they were all knocked out.

What A Headache

Justin decided to jump off from the roof of the wine cell into the swimming pool, knowing it was only 8 ft. deep, and came up with a big bang on his head. He scraped his forehead and both of his hands. Luckly he didn't need stitches but him and the adult men there at the party kept on jumping off the roof into the pool. He is so stubborn but we all had a good time.

First Day Back At Papaw's

On Monday, Maurissa started the 2nd grade and apparently Hannah thought she was going to school too because she had a backpack and a lunch box like Maurissa did. But it was off to Papaw's again. He watches Hannah while Maurissa is in school and when I get off work I pick Hannah up then we pick up Maurissa from school. Hannah cried when she was dropped off at Papaw's. She wanted to go to school too beacause she thought she was a BIG girl. Well, when I had picked her up I asked her why she cried today. She told me because she wanted to stay with Maurissa but she told me, "Momma it's okay because I had a good day with Papaw." "We picked pecans and I helped Papaw mowed." "I love going to Papaw's." I felt relieved. She had been used to Maurissa being with her these past couple of months. Hopefully next year we can get her in pre-k.

Kermit The Frog-What Hannah Calls Him

We came across two frogs in our backyard the other day. Look how HUGE this one is. We ran them off into the front yard hoping they will make a home in the flower bed.

Wagon Pulling

I was able to capture this picture of the kids as Justin was taking them a ride on the wagon. Luckily it didn't break down with the weight of the kids (not that they weigh alot).

Touching My Mommy..Only My Dad Can Do That

Everytime Justin touches Crystal or even plays with her, Alex cries. It's funny to see him do that beacuse he knows only his Daddy can be playing with her.

Throwing Alex

Listen to Alex as Justin throws him up in the air. He gets so excited and wants more, and more, and more. Pretty soon Alex is going to be a BIG boy and he will be outgrown for Justin to throw him up in the air.

Dizzy Alex

Poor Alex...that is all that I kept thinking about when Justin kept swinging him. Or either, please don't throw up, please don't throw up.

Teresa's 40th Birthday Party

Last night we went to the Oasis on Joe Pool Lake and celeberated Teresa's 40th birthday party. Not only was it a special occasion for her birthday but my neighbor Brian, was going to ask her hand in marriage. He had it all planned out well. Justin and I had the ring and we brought it with us. We've had it at our house for a while now and boy she she surprised. It took my breath away when he proposed to her. I appreciate the fact Justin and I was a part of it all. I wish them the BEST!

Broken Into

As I was heading out the door this morning at 4:50am, I noticed that my car door was opened. I didn't think much about it as I was still trying to wake up to head to work. I got in and noticed that there was a big mess in my car. Someone had broken into it. I called Justin when I got to work because I didn't even pay attention to his truck. Of course they broke into it too. He just got a GPS Navigation system for his birthday two weeks ago so he has been locking the truck every night. But the one night he forgets to do it, it gets broken into. I feel UGH. Jut to know that someone was going through our personal stuff...stealing what they can get their hands on. I called the number on the box to where we recived the GPS from and had it registered, so hopefully (praying) that they can be able to track down the GPS as soon as someone uses it.

Baby Bird

Tonite as the kids were playing on the slide, Alex came across a baby bird on the steps. He wanted so badly to touch it. Eventually we had to go inside because all we kept saying was, "NO ALEX...NO TOUCH". Needless to say, he wasn't a happy camper being inside.

Hannah's Haircut

Hannah got her haircut today and doesn't she look so cute. She normally has curly hair but I can honestly say that her curls are probably all gone away now. She looks so grown up now. What a cutie!!!

Happy Birthday, Justin

Happy Birthday to the best dad, husband, and friend. We love you so much. Have a great day!

Family Time

This weekend was spent as "Family Time". On Saturday, we went to Crystal's and swam. Then on Sunday, the kids just lounge around the house since it was so hot to play outside and spent some quality time with one another.

Waterslide

We bought the kids a HUGE waterslide and they seem to love it. It keeps them from going inside...out...inside....out. Now they can enjoy being outside more.
